In this artical you'll learn the basic rules to chess and how all the pieces move.

Rules

Once your board is setup you can learn how the pieces work and all the rules. The king can move one space in any direction and if captured, the game ends. The queen is the most powerful piece, she can move straight or diagonal as long as no other piece is in the way. The bishops can move diagonally. The Knights moves in an “L” shape moving two squares up and one over. The rooks move straight. The pawns move straight one space at a time unless on their first move they can move two. All pieces capture the way they move except for the pawn, it captures diagonally. The pawn can also never move backwards.
